Fashion Week Recap
with a side of relentess parisian heat wave
I knew going into this trip that Paris was battling a historic heat wave but I really underestimated what 37°C/80°F would really feel like IRL.
Packing for this trip proved to be challenging… how does one look fashion week appropriate while they are sweating from unimaginable corners of their body?

I stayed at two new hotels — The Westminster in the 2nd, super well situated, old world charm and in a “fancier” pocket of the city. My experience was unfortunately affected due to AC and elevators being down during my visit… I’ll probably give this hotel another shot though. I also stayed at the Experimental in the Marais which is also very well situated, steps away from so many great vintage shops, restaurants and cafés. Also really cute/quirky vibe.
Unsurprisingly, I was debilitatingly hot in this Anteros button up and eventually had to go home to shower and change before heading out to dinner :)
I was able to visit the JW Anderson, ERL and SSSTEIN presentations on behalf of Exhibition Magazine who I am working with to do a little fashion week coverage which, transparently, I am VERY excited about.
On day 2, I boldly decided to wear these D Squared pants I just thrifted but in 36°C weather, my body was a prisoner.

I did a little bit of shopping!! Prada light pink poplin top and hot pink Miu Miu pumps. Also, I have been on the hunt for the perfect cooking apron for almost 2 years. I found it at the london-based Jihan pop up.

The next leg of the trip was in Corsica with Jacquemus. It’s really hard to boil it down to just a few moments because the entire thing was just exceptional. This was my 3rd Jacquemus show and one thing that remains a constant is how incredibly intentional Simon Jacquemus’ shows are. From the collection, the venue, the music.. its hard to absorb all the details.

The last evening in Corsica was spent having an intimate dinner at a farm followed by 5 beautiful hours of dancing at an outdoor local bar under a full moon and some distant lightning. Truly magical.
